Mike Tooman is a longtime Weston County resident, small-business owner and experienced election judge running for Weston County Clerk to restore public trust, strengthen transparency and bring steady, competent leadership to the office.

Mike Tooman has called Weston County home since 2001. As president of J.M. Tooman Inc., Mike has spent decades working in technical systems, documentation, policy development and implementation — experience that directly applies to the careful, accurate and accountable work required in the clerk’s office.

For more than 18 years, Mike has served as a Weston County election judge, including more than 14 years as senior election judge in Newcastle. That hands-on experience gives him a clear understanding of how local elections should be conducted: carefully, lawfully, transparently and with respect for every voter.

Mike believes the county clerk’s office must be more than a records office. It must be a public trust. Citizens deserve open access to public records, responsive service, secure elections and confidence that county government is operating according to the law.
